Welcome!
My name is Anthony Plettenberg Laing and here you can find updates on both my research and expeditions. My main focus is in herpetology, with research interests including phylogenetics, systematics & taxonomy and populations genetics, with experience gained in these areas throughout recent and current projects.
Projects I've worked on include investigating the genetic origin of non-native grass snake populations in the UK, for which further work is now being done. My latest research was during a postgraduate project at Bangor University, where I focused on creating a new multi-locus phylogeny of the cobra clade elapids.
